All of His Promises are YES and AMEN

“But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him.” ~Jer. 17:7~

For many young people graduating from college, these are especially anxious times.  Today, most graduates walk into a world filled with doubt and despair, gazing upon an uncertain economy and future. Frankly, the events of 9-11, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, the crazy political times of today, and the continued decline of morality has created a social landscape filled with potholes and insecurity for all of us.

So, what is a person to do? How should we look at the future? I say we honor and serve a God who is faithful and stays true to His word. (remember the vow…”as for me and my house we will serve the Lord) David said, “Give thanks to the Lord of lords: His love endures for ever.” ~Psalm 136:3~. If our security rests firmly in Him, we can be at peace in the midst of the most chaotic circumstances. Faithfulness is not something God aspires to; it is an essential part of His character. When God makes a promise, He always keeps it!!!

In his speech to the Israelites, Moses hammered home this point. The previous generations had refused to believe that God would faithfully keep His promise to give them the land. As punishment, God had sent them to wander in the wilderness until that entire unfaithful generation had died. As the new generation stood ready to enter the Promise Land, Moses told them, “Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands.” ~Deut. 7:9~

My brothers, remember we serve a God who is faithful and doesn’t waiver in His commitments. Praise God that His faithfulness does not depend on my on the strength of my faith, too: “What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God’s faithfulness? Not at all!” ~Rom. 3:3-4a~ He will keep every promise.

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” Prov. 3:5

“Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.” Psalm 20:7

Now go out and have an EPIC day today!
