7 Dear friends, I am not writing a new commandment for you; rather it is an old one you have had from the very beginning. This old commandment—to love one another—is the same message you heard before. 8 Yet it is also new. Jesus lived the truth of this commandment, and you also are living it. For the darkness is disappearing, and the true light is already shining.
9 If anyone claims, “I am living in the light,” but hates a fellow believer,[a] that person is still living in darkness. 10 Anyone who loves a fellow believer[b] is living in the light and does not cause others to stumble. 11 But anyone who hates a fellow believer is still living and walking in darkness. Such a person does not know the way to go, having been blinded by the darkness. ~ 1John 7-11
Sometimes the church people are the most judgmental and hateful people around…. seeing this shows that there is something very broken in the lives of people who claim to be believers. Don’t get me wrong I LOVE the body of Christ, I believe that the church is needed and a viable place in the world, especially as we head into the end times.
We are to LOVE everyone, the word say we to even love our enemies! But when it comes to brothers and sisters in the Lord it’s a different level and type of love. So what is broken that would make people be hateful to a fellow believer?
Actually it’s pretty simple. RELATIONSHIP with the Father… Knowing Him and His heart….knowing the Word….Being transformed….our minds being renewed, and finally new believers being mentored / taught how to live out the life. This is a very hard road to travel it is against the grain of the entire world…. it’s a eternal mindset. Is it doable? YES YES and a thousand times YES!!! It take strong leaders, strong parents teaching their children and a New Heart, a renewed mind.
Now go out and have an EPIC day
